Before we go you get to know the dogs & learn the sled technique on the tracks at the kennel. You stay at the Huskylodge, comfortable & with high standard.

This is included:
3 nights at the Huskylodge, sharing a double room
1 night in tent, Campfire night with taste of Jämtland
Dogsledding at the mountains and the kennel area
Snowshoeswalk and icefishing

Day 1
Arrival & check in at the Huskylodge located at the sleddog kennel. We have two nice rooms, Thule & Toolik, both top standard with comfortable beds, private TV room &WC.  If you need we give you a lift to the local grocery store. We give you a tour around the kennel and talk about the days to come. The program allows you to have some time of your own to read a book, take a walk or just relax and enjoy the nice and cold winter in
Sweden.

Day 2
We start with some soft and relaxing activity, we go down the lake and try some icefishing. A way to ice fish is to lay down on warm reindeer skins and “peak fish”. Its both very relaxing, since you staring down the drilled hole and your thoughts just wandering of ….and also very exiting when you see a fish swim by and hopefully bites.
Later in the evening we put on the snowshoes and take of out in the woods . We will have a Campfire night with taste of Jämtland – we spend the night in a tentlavvo in the woods ,lightened by torches and warming campfire .We serve glüe wine and a taste of local deliciousness.

Day 3
We start the day by feeding the dogs and do some kennel work.  You get to know our nice dogs and we show you how to harness, trying the sleds & go through the technique. The takeoff with a dogteam can be a bit tricky, so we will try that behind a scooter and then with a real team ofcourse! Today we make a small trip around the kennel area where you run your own team and also a longer tour on the guide sled with a big team of 12 dogs.
We take a lunch break and put on the snowshoes and walk out in the forest, we bring wood and make our lunch over the open fire.  After you tried the sleds & gone through the technique you will feel real safe when its time to go on the mountain tour tomorrow

Day 4
Early morning we pack the car and set of to the mountains. Time to harness the dogs and put them in the teams and do a full day of dog sledding in the mountains. Morwen,White and the other dogs takes you trough breathtaking views among the magnificent mountains and wilderness of Sweden. We take lunch break when we see a nice spot and give all dogs some snacks for good work. The colours up in the mountains are very special this time of year. The cold makes the sky all shades of pink and purple, it´s very beautiful!

Day 5
Today its time to say goodbye to the dogs, the guide & Jämtland. Hopefully, with a lot of nice memories that will last for a lifetime!
